Join us at Concord Pet Food & Supplies in Graylyn Crest on October 4th for their Fall Festival! This event features 15+ animal-related vendors, Nick's Pizza, numerous giveaways and raffles, and a pet-friendly photo-booth!
HAP will be in attendance with adoptable animals to meet potential adopters! We will bring adoptable dogs in the van, and the first shift of volunteer dog handlers will meet at the Graylyn Crest shopping center at 9:30 am. Volunteers will help set up our HAP-branded information table, and then we will unload the dogs. We are looking for 1 volunteer to help at the information table, and 3 volunteers to handle dogs at the event. Halfway through the day, we will have a shift change. HAP staff plans to bring the first round of dogs in the van in the morning. First shift of dog handlers will hold their dog through the shift, and then drop them off at the shelter afterwards. The second shift will pick new dogs up from the shelter, so the same dogs aren't there all day.
*Dog handlers must be trained to walk dogs*
Shifts:
- 9:30 am - 12:30 pm (4 volunteers- 1 table volunteer and 3 dog handlers)
- 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm (4 volunteers- 1 table volunteer and 3 dog handlers)
