We are looking for 2 volunteers to spearhead this event!
AstraZeneca Wilmington has invited us to their Paws for People de-stress event for their employees. Paws for People will be on site with dogs, and we will be the spotlighted vendor, given a table to provide employees with information on how to donate, volunteer and any other options available. They will also be collecting donations for us to be loaded into the van afterwards!
While we will not be bringing dogs to this event, we will be looking to talk to people about the services that we offer, and how they can support us by volunteering/donating. Volunteers will set up the information table, hand out flyers and information, and answer questions that attendees may have. Attendees are also being encouraged to donate gently used linens for use at the shelter, so volunteers will also load those up after the event!
The main address is listed. We will be in the main lobby for the event so we can park in their visitor parking lot, which is off our Powder Mill Rd entrance (there is a big statue out front and a sign that says “AstraZeneca Wilmington”). There is no need to register anyone as a visitor as we have restrooms and any other amenities available without entering the secured part of the building.
